What is PMI? - The Project Management Institute

The Project Management Institute (PMI) is one of the world's leading professional associations in the area of project management. PMI has developed new project management standards, which they published in A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and which has been approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The AB&Partners project management training has been developed in accordance with the PMI standards.

What is the PMP Certification?

The Project Management Institute sponsors a project management certification program: The Project Management Professional (PMP) Program. The purpose and goal of this program is the development, maintenance, evaluation, promotion and administration of a rigorous, examination-based, professional certification program of the highest caliber. In 1999, PMI's Certification Program Department became the first professional certification program department in the world to attain ISO 9001 recognition.

The PMP Program supports the international community of project management professionals and is designed to objectively assess and measure professional knowledge. PMP program requirements and eligibility standards are applied fairly, impartially and consistent with applicable laws.

To achieve PMP certification, each candidate must satisfy all educational and experiential requirements established by PMI and must demonstrate an acceptable and valid level of understanding and knowledge about project management that is tested by the Project Management Professional Certification Examination. AB&Partners support you to optimally prepare for this examination in our PMP Certification Exam Preparation course. We are proud to announce that AB&Partners has a 100% success rate of our participants at the PMP examination.

What is a Professional Development Unit (PDU)?

Those who have been granted the PMP credential (certificants) must demonstrate ongoing professional commitment to the field of project management by satisfying Professional Development Program requirements to maintain certification status.
The measuring unit used to quantify approved learning is called Professional Development Unit. AB&Partners is a PMI Registered Education Provider adhering to quality criteria established by PMI. AB&Partners is authorized to issue PDU certificates to attendees.
