Making MS Project work for your Projects

Overview

MS Project is one of the most widely available project management tools though experience of its successful use varies widely. All too many users fail to get maximum benefits of this very comprehensive package.  It is easily capable of supporting a deepening project management culture in a wide variety of situations.  However, it is frequently restricted to simply producing Gantt charts which have limited capability to manage the project, let alone to aid development of a project culture.

This course builds on project management principles developed in PRO. It aims to provide the project manager with practical skills based on a selection from the features available in MS Project.  These practical skills will enable participants to put the principles into operation and to achieve the benefits that this comprehensive tool can provide.

Training Method

MS PROJECT is ‘hands-on’, based on the life cycle of a typical project, enabling participants to gain experience of MS Project as a powerful tool in the project process. The training is supported by computers or laptops.   Participants are encouraged to bring data relating to a project of their own for use in the case study sessions

Instructor Profile

Certified PMP® project management practitioner and instructor with many years of experience in various industries.
