LEAD
Project Leadership Application
Overview
The participant will learn and practice project leadership skills through use of hands-on simulation working within a team. This approach yields a comprehensive project experience including discussions and exercises focusing on leadership challenges for the project manager, conflict management, facilitation skills as well as team dynamics.
Participants work in teams through a "real" project, including all events and influences which occur in all projects, such as clients changing requirements, variances in staff skill sets, team issues, personality concerns, resource constraints, technical decisions and difficulties. Participants must make decisions under stress as a team, considering all parameters of a project.
Training Method
Using classroom discussion and activities to set the stage, the interactive project simulation tool, SimulTrain® simulates the reality of working as a project leader in a true project environment and challenges the participant to apply the concepts of leadership.
The training is highly interactive with ample opportunities for individual feedback. Participants will work in teams and in small groups for reflection and discussion.
